Thomas J. Ackerman
Age 69, of North Sewickley Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, with his wife by his bedside. Born October 21, 1954, son of the late Edward and Margaret (Rodrian) Ackerman. Beloved husband of Marylin C. McFarland, whom he married on 3/7/23; Father of Jessica (Zachary) Dorman ; Pap-Pap of Azrael Dorman; Brother of Edward J. (Renee), Peggy DeMellier and the late Lorretta Groff, James Ackerman, and John Ackerman.
Tom was known for being generous and kind to anyone he came across. He loved spending time with his friends; and was an excellent musician, having played in several bands.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 2-6 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 am at Our Lady of The Valley Parish, St. Cecilia Church, with Rev. Paul Kuppe officiating. Interment will follow at North Side Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Tom’s name to The Carmelite Monastery of Allentown, 3551 Lanark Rd Coopersburg, PA 18036, or American Legion Post 512.

A great man and a great friend will be missed. Will miss seeing him at the flea market and around the neighborhood. Will also miss his guidance doing my taxes. Was just looking him up again and saw this! God Bless till we meet again!
Tom was the nicest and sweetest person, always cheerful with a smile on his face. He will be missed.

I was honored to be Tom’s friend and band mate for 3 decades. He was selfless and would help anyone in need. His sense of humor brought smiles and laughter to everyone he encountered. I will miss you big time my friend. You will be remembered by all as the wonderful person you were here on earth. Rest in peace Tommy.

Tom will always be remembered for his ability to light up a room with his jokes and his smile. His musical talent was immeasurable. A genuine, true friend that will never be forgotten. I have 51 years of friendship, memories, stories and laughs that I shared with my friend Tom. But, the thing I’ll miss most about Tom is his smile.
Tom was a great guy with a big heart. I remember attending a fund raising event that he and his band put on for toys for tots, Tom had a big smile on his face all evening, that says it all.
Tommy always had a way to make you feel good, With a compliment and a Smile! Loved watching him play his guitar❤️ He will be Missed🎸
Many years ago I met Tom at home depot while looking at seeds. We got to talking , only to find he only lived down the road from me. I was so blessed to have met Tom that day and that we became friends . I will miss Tom, his sense of humor and his love of cats.
Tommy was a great man. Enjoyed many times with him at the American legion. He played and sang like he lived .., to the fullest

Though I haven’t seen Tom in several years, I will always remember his sense of humor and upbeat personality. He was always friendly to me and was forever ready to deliver a series of jokes, or story, to either enliven or boost everyone’s mood. I will always remember his voice and smile.

Rest in peace dear Tom, I will miss you so much. Thank you for being a great friend, travel buddy, wine drinker, and the list goes on and on. I will remember all the the times you two surprised us on our trips, always showing up at the right time. I will always think of you when I hear “Lights”! My deepest condolences and prayers for his family. Tom was such a fun, loving and good hearted person. The light of his beautiful spirit shined through his eyes whenever he smiled. He loved bringing joy to others with his great sense of humor and musical talent. He helped to make the world a brighter place and will be greatly missed. He is now in a better place for all of eternity.
Tom brought laugther, music and love to the world in a way that few people could. In our younger days, he was the big brother I never had and I am so glad that we stayed in touch over these past many years. Wishing Marilyn, his friends and family peace and comfort through these difficult times. Rest in peace Tom, you will be missed.
