Thomas J. Ackerman

Age 69, of North Sewickley Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, with his wife by his bedside. Born October 21, 1954, son of the late Edward and Margaret (Rodrian) Ackerman. Beloved husband of Marylin C. McFarland, whom he married on  3/7/23; Father of Jessica (Zachary) Dorman ; Pap-Pap of Azrael  Dorman;  Brother of Edward J. (Renee), Peggy DeMellier and the late Lorretta Groff, James Ackerman, and John Ackerman.

Tom was known for being generous and kind to anyone he came across. He loved spending time with his friends; and was an excellent musician, having played in several bands.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 2-6 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 am at Our Lady of The Valley Parish, St. Cecilia Church, with Rev. Paul Kuppe officiating. Interment will follow at North Side Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Tom’s name to The Carmelite Monastery of Allentown, 3551 Lanark Rd Coopersburg, PA  18036, or American Legion Post 512.
