Marion M. Buterbaugh of Pittsburgh PA, passed away on October 27, 2023; daughter to the late Joseph and Mary Pavlis; wife to the late Ernie Buterbaugh; mother to Glenn (Karen) Buterbaugh M.D., Diane Buterbaugh Owen, Ernie (Terry) Buterbaugh, Geary (Patty) Buterbaugh; Grandmother to Ryan (Kristen Deaton) Buterbaugh, Kristin (Clinton Henry) Buterbaugh M.D., Allison (Matt Ferrell) Buterbaugh, Kaitlyn Buterbaugh, Meredith Owen, David (Samantha) Owen, Derek (Dena) Anderson, Shawn (Rebekah) Anderson; great grandmother to Logan Buterbaugh, Madelyn Buterbaugh, Cameron Henry, Lachlan Henry, Liza Ferrell, Addi Owen, Liam Owen, Kole Anderson, Jax Anderson, and Mckenna Anderson; sister to Robert (Esther) Pavlis M.D.; and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Marion was a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, growing up on the North Side and then moving to Perrysville when she married Ernie in 1952. She graduated from St. Benedict’s Academy and was a member of St. Teresa’s Parish in Perrysville. Marion was very active; she was an avid bowler, once bowling a perfect 300 game. She also loved to swim, waterski and play racquetball, and enjoyed amusement parks, church carnivals, casinos and old movies. Summer was her favorite time of year. Marion was employed by Weight Watchers as a Receptionist at the McIntyre Square location for many years, earning the Weight Watchers Receptionist of the Year award for her exceptional service. We’d like to thank her Orion family for her excellent care over the past several years.
Friends will be received Tuesday October 31, 2023 from 4-8 PM at DEVLIN Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy. Blessing Service Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marion’s memory to Orion Personal Care Residence, 2191 Ferguson Road, Allison Park PA 15101.
