Robert J. “Rob” Dunbar
Age 56, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away surrounded by his loving wife and kids on Friday, May 21, 2021 after a short illness and courageous battle. Rob was born on April 3, 1965, son of the late Robert L. and Alice (Coyle) Dunbar. Beloved husband of Jacqueline “Jackie” (Lyons) Dunbar, whom he married on June 2, 1990; loving father of Meghan (Ben) McKee, Tyler, and Heather Dunbar; grandpap of Riley; dear brother of Denny, Kevin (Cindy) and the late Jeffrey Dunbar. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, George and Kathleen Lyons, and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will all miss him dearly.

Rob loved spending time with his family, dog, and granddogs, and always enjoyed a cold Miller Lite. He loved to hunt, go to camp in Clarion, kayak, and a good campfire. He always liked going on long walks and enjoyed a beautiful sunset with Jackie. Rob never sat down and always had to be doing something. Rob’s most recent pride and joy has been his granddaughter, Riley, bragging about her to anyone that would listen.

Rob has been a Union Sheet Metal Worker with Local #12 for over 30 years. Over the years, he has been a baseball coach, softball coach, and Boy Scout leader, volunteering to help with everything that his kids were involved in. Rob was also an Usher and a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Felix Church. Rob was always willing to help anyone, and he will be missed by everyone that knows and loves him.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 2-6 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 am at Our Lady of the Valley Parish, St. Felix Church with Rev. Mark Carter, O.F.M. Celebrating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Rob’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
