Richard J. Kuhn
Age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones. Born on July 28, 1933, he was the youngest son of the late Joseph and Clara Kuhn. Devoted husband to Audrey Kuhn for nearly 69 years, whom he married on May 5, 1956. He was the loving father of Cindy (Steve) Bennett, Rick (Sue), and Ron (Donna) Kuhn; proud “Pappy” to 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and dear brother to Rose Marie (late Bob) Roos.
As a founder of Comtrol Corporation in Irwin, PA, Richard (Dick), gained respect as an engineer in the mine safety industry. Yet, it is as Pappy, the exuberant coach and cheerleader of his extended family and community, that he will be most fondly remembered.
Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 am at Divine Grace Parish, St. Ferdinand Church, with Fr. Jim Wehner officiating. Private entombment will be held at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Richard’s name to The Dementia Society of America.
