Raymond “Ray” Zeleny, of Ross Township, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on April 13th, 2021, surrounded by his family following a courageous battle with colon cancer. Ray was born May 1, 1950, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Raymond E. and Dorothy (Cernansky) Zeleny whom preceded him in death. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Robin M. Gould; loving father of Lauren (James) Reik of Upper St. Clair and Michael (Victoria) Zeleny of North Shore. Proud “pap” [grandfather] of Hudson, Mason, and Weston. Brother of Gerard (Janice), Kenneth, and Mark (Mary); also survived by his adoring nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and who affectionately called him Ray-Ray. A graduate of Penn State University, Ray retired after over 45 years with Valspar. Those who knew him well know Ray’s legacy is marked by his use of unique nicknames, knowledge of history, love for trivia, and uplifting sense of humor. The family will host a reception for friends Thursday, April 15th from 4-8 p.m., at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 806 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp. (412) 364-0510. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Aidan (St. Alexis) Church at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 10090 Old Perry Hwy., Wexford, PA 15090 with Father Paul Zywan presiding. Interment to follow privately at Christ Our Redeemer Mausoleum, Resurrection Chapel.
