Michael R. Cristallino

March 13, 1947 - April 13, 2021

Michael R. Cristallino
Age 74, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Born March 13, 1947, son of the late Russell V. and Eleanor (Ranallo) Cristallino. Mike married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Carol (Gigler) Cristallino on July 11, 1970. Mike and his “Angel” recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He was the loving father of Michael (Linda), and Daniel (Christine) Cristallino and was the proud grandfather of Nate, Allison, Mia, and Adam, who each adored their Pappy. Mike is also survived by his sister Roberta (Patrick) Knowles, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, loving nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

Mike was a Vietnam Veteran serving four years in the U.S. Navy. He was a dedicated Patriot that did not discuss his time in the US Navy until later in his life. He was very proud of his time served, and his accomplishments in the Vietnam War. He retired from PepsiCo in 2007 with 36 years of service. He was a hard working, dedicated family man, who saw people at both their best and at their worst. He will be lovingly remembered for his kind heart, outgoingness, and most importantly, the love for his family. Mike provided his sons with a foundation to not only be successful men, but husbands, and fathers to his grandchildren.
Mike loved vacationing in Myrtle Beach and in his spare time enjoyed shooting skeet and trap at several local sportsman’s clubs. His strong faith in God and the church was unwavering.
Private family arrangements are under the direction of Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Mike’s name to Animal Friends.

Mike and Carol were some of my favorite neighbors. Mike was one of THE best men I knew. We had the most fun on Fayette Dr & Somerset Dr. with impromptu BBQ’s, snow shoveling pathways for the newspaper, etc. It saddens me to know that Mike has passed away. Love and blessings to his family.

    Dad,
You are greatly missed by all of us. I hate doing this, but I feel it necessary to share my thoughts. We will not be the same without you. We all will grow and flourish with the messages that you have instilled in us. Family first, and do what is right. “Let your conscience be your guide”. You have been a great patriarch for our family. Your message and close family bonds have been felt throughout the entire group. It will be a struggle for all of us, but rest in peace as we will get through. The entire family has mom taken care of. I love you Dad!!

So sad to learn of Mike’s passing. We would often see Mike on our daily walks and he would always address us individually and by our names. It seems a small thing but it showed he cared about each person. We always felt good after talking to him. Our heartfelt sympathies to Carol and all the Cristallino family.
