Age 98, passed away on October 29, 2024. Patricia had been a long-time resident of Denver, Colorado and was previously from Bellevue, PA. She is predeceased by her husbands, August Crenner and Kenneth Tatman. Also, by her grandchildren, Joseph Brown and Lisa Marie Brown as well as a great-great grandchild, Zachariah Stewart. Patricia is survived by her children: James Crenner (Sherry Holbrook), Janet Shepherd, Daniel Crenner, Harold Crenner (Sherry Reisker) and grandchildren: Julie Husman, Jennifer Aulsebrook (John), Melissa Rau (Ronald), Kelly Shedleski, Heather Moon (Travis), Allen Crenner (Melissa Farenhold), Laura Goodfield (Andy), and Hope Grace Crenner. Patricia was also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Patricia (Pat) led an interesting and every-changing life. As a young adult, she was employed as an artist in Pittsburgh where she met and married August Crenner. While raising her children, she worked from home. First, as an excellent seamstress and later as a housemother to 5 or 6 girls at a time who were going to school and needing room and board. Pat had a gift for hospitality and entertaining. As her family grew, Pat decided to follow her passion by attending college and earning a nursing degree at the age of 50. She worked as an LPN and later as a private duty hospice nurse. Pat devoted countless hours of her time assisting with and caring for her grandchildren. She relished her role as a grandma. We will be forever grateful for all her help.
After being widowed, Pat moved to Colorado becoming a resident of Denver where she made many new friends and took part in many senior activities. Pat was always busy and enjoyed a lively social life. Pat was married for a second time to Kenneth Tatman at the age of 79. She wasn’t one to slow down and was always looking to the future. Pat will be missed by all.
Guests will be welcomed to DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 806 Perry Hwy., Pgh, PA 15229 on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 10:30-11:30AM followed by a chapel committal service at Christ Our Redeemer, Northside Catholic Cemetery, where Patricia will be laid to rest.
