Mario F. Alioto, 92, of Shaler Township, died Friday, March 5, 2010. Loving husband of 62 years to Catherine (Machi) Alioto; father of Antonette (Ernest) Sotirake, Mary Rose (Stephen) Monarko and John (Dolores) Alioto; grandfather of Dawn (Jonathan) Lindgren, Michael (Jennifer) Sotirake, Sherry Monarko, Brian Monarko, Alicia Monarko, John Alioto, Jeanette Alioto and Catherine Alioto; great-grandfather of William Monarko, Brandon Monarko and Evie Lindgren; brother of Frank Alioto, Anthony Alioto, Sam Alioto, Rose Marie Pawlawski, Antonette Sonavec, Vito Alioto, the late Joseph Alioto, Michael Alioto, Nunzio Alioto and Anne Balestrino. Mario was a member of American Legion Post 565. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15229-1128. Mass of Christian Burail will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Spirit Parish, 100 Howard St., Millvale, PA 15209.
