Louis J. Korenich, 91, of Marshall Township, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Rita (Catterall); loving father of David (Donna) and Mary Jane; proud grandfather of Lindsay; brother of Beatrice Martin, Robert and the late Joseph, William, Anna, Dolores, Marie, Thomas and Albert; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lou served his country during World War II, where he was a platoon sergeant and received many commendations. He also was instrumental in the formation of the Volunteer Fire Department of Marshall Township. Friends and family received from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Alphonsus Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tutwiler Clinic, 205 Alma St., Tutwiler, MS 38963-0462.
