Visitation: Private

Service: Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday July 1, 2023 at 11:30 in St. Sebastian Church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish

We are deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Madeline Louise Collins, born on October 31, 2022, who left us too soon on June 28, 2023. Born into the loving arms of her devoted parents Matthew and Brittany (Billow) Collins, she was the embodiment of joy and innocence.

Baby Madeline was the cherished Sissy of Eleanor Collins; the beloved granddaughter of Bruce and Renee Billow and Craig and Mary Collins; and the precious great granddaughter of Elaine Billow, Bill Whetzel, Anna Smalara, and William and Karen Collins. Madeline was an absolute delight to her aunts and uncles, Angela and Luke Bonomo and Bryce and Brooke Billow, and was dearly loved by her cousins Anthony and Joseph Bonomo and Hayden and Jace Billow. She is survived by several great aunts and uncles and other family members. Madeline was welcomed into Heaven by her great grandmother Marlene Glick and great grandfathers William Billow and Alfred Smalara.

Madeline, though her life was brief, left an indelible mark on our hearts. Her radiant smile and cheerful laughter were infectious and brightened our lives immeasurably. Her spirit, although young, was filled with immense love, bringing warmth to everyone she touched.

We take solace knowing that Madeline is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father, wrapped in His eternal love. While our hearts are heavy with the sorrow of her passing, we are comforted by our Catholic faith that assures us we will one day be reunited with our sweet Madeline in the Kingdom of Heaven.

The family welcomes those who wish to celebrate Madeline’s life to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 311 Siebert Road, Pittsburgh, PA. Interment will follow at Christ the Redeemer Cemetery, 204 Cemetery Lane, Pittsburgh, PA.

The family thanks the Cleft-Craniofacial Center,  especially Dr. Maryam Arab, Dr. Lindsay Schuster, Dr. Joseph Losee, and Matthew Ford, and all those at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for the care and love that they provided Madeline.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to The Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank (wpadiaperbank.org) in memory of Madeline Louise Collins.

Eternal rest grant unto Madeline, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
