Kimberle Ian Monda-Weiss, age 69, on July 13, 2026. Born on March 24, 1957, in Pittsburgh, PA. Daughter of the late Josephine L. Monda and Dr. John P. Monda. Kimberle was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother.
Kimberle is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Weiss, whom she married on July 26, 1986. She was a proud mother to Dr. Matthew Weiss (Alison) and Wesley Heberle (Connor), and a loving grandmother to Caroline and John. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her sister, Dana Monda, and is preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Dean Monda.
Kimberle was the queen and matriarch of our family. She was passionate about many things in life, including her love for cooking, especially Italian Sunday dinners hosted for her family and friends. Known affectionately as “Grandma Kim,” She was the key holder that kept everyone together and brought life to every holiday, birthday, and special occasion. Kimberle also enjoyed a fulfilling career as a dentist, where she worked along side her late father, her son, and her daughter for many years.
To know her, was to love her. Kimberle’s famous smile brightened every room with warmth, laughter, and love. We have truly lost a one of a kind soul and a North Star in all of our lives. She was also a selfless caregiver to the entire family, she sacrificed many things to care for all of us and we are forever grateful.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 am at St. Luke The Evangelist Parish, Sts John and Paul Church. Entombment will follow at North Side Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Phipps Conservatory.

Miss Kim raised a wonderful daughter who I’ve known since elementary school. Rest with Jesus,Mrs Weiss. I know heaven could not wait for a kind, warm soul like yours.
Just learned during a dental appointment with her son (Dr. Weiss) that Dr. Kim has passed away. I’ve know her since her high school years and then as the dental partner of her Father & now her son.
In addition to being a top- tier Dentist, she had the disposition of an Angel. I dont think I ever saw her commit an unkind act or say a hurtful word.
She was truly ” one of a kind” & will be missed by everyone who knew her.

I am deeply saddened to have read of the passing of your dear wife and mother. My sons and I have been customers of your family’s dental care since the early 90s. My sons are now in their 30’s and we all remember Dr Monda with fondness. Such a kind, caring woman. My deepest sympathies and prayers for comfort in the days ahead. May Kimberle rest with the angels as ourLord welcomes her into His Kingdom.

Condolences to the entire family. Kim was an amazing all around great gal who I was fortunate to know at Pitt. She was my sister’s roomate and so much fun and full of life. Her brother Tony and I were the younger siblings at Pitt games and gatherings on Dithridge Street and the ‘older’ sisters welcomed us. I am sorry for your loss. No words. Memory eternal.🙏🏻
There are no words to describe the sorrow I feel. Kim’s love for her family was evident in all she did. My deepest sympathies to her family and all that loved her.

Kim was a remarkable person who devoted herself wholeheartedly to everyone around her. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she cared deeply for each of them. The strength and courage she displayed during her battle with cancer were truly inspiring. Although she is now in God’s embrace, dancing among the angels, her spirit continues. Kim and I were roommates at Pitt as well as sorority sisters. We lost touch after college but I will always remember her for her warmth and infectious laugh. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. May you find peace and comfort during this difficult time. Heaven has gained a special soul!
I am sad to hear of Dr. Kim’s passing. I’ve known her since her Pitt Dental days. Her father was mine and my late husband’s dentist, and I continued to go to her for dental care.Always had a smile. I will miss her. Rest in peace.

I knew Kim from Zumba Class. She was a beautiful Zumba sister who loved to dance. Her kindness and concern for others will always be remembered.
Kim was one of kind, always thoughtful, would light up a room with her smile, was always a pleasure to see her. She was genuine and personable. The world had too few of her. It was an honor to know her and call her one of our closest friends. Kim was so beautiful inside and

I lost my best friend of over 40 years Kim blessed me with a wonderful life and amazing kids and grandkids. I so very much miss her. 😪😇. Her pain is now gone and she is eternally with her mother and father and brother Tony. God Bless you my love.

I was a friend of Kim’s from high school – she a cheerleader and I a majorette. She was the nicest, kindest, friendliest person who shared her enthusiasm for life with others. She was a true treasure! I will be saying many prayers for her and the family 😥💔 🙏🏻
