Age 83, of Ross Twp., on Thursday, June 22, 2023.
Devoted widower of the late Shirley; Loving father of Christina Navadauskas, Mark Shaheen,
Donna Wanner (Matthew Heary), and Rhonda Pring (Randall); Proud grandfather of 11 and
great-grandfather of 2; Brother of William (Kathy), the late Regina and the late Albert (Donna);
John is also survived by his beloved companion Carol Meadows and many loving friends and
neighbors.
John has been enjoying 20 years of retirement from Local Teamsters 249. He was known for his
willingness to help anybody (especially his grandchildren) with whatever they needed, from car
repairs, rides, lending a few bucks, or simply just good advice. He enjoyed bicycling, yardwork,
kayaking, boating, and picnics. He was an avid walker at North Park, and loved all outdoor
activities.
Friends received on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy,
where a private funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to a charity in his honor.

John and I go back a long time. We played football, hung out on the corner and had lunch with friends for years. Will miss him.
