Dorothy Raab Hollinger, 93, lifelong resident of West View, died Saturday, May 26, 2012. She was the beloved wife of 53 years of the late Regis E. Hollinger; daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Raab, and is survived by her dear sister-in-law, Marian Raab. She was the loving mother of Patricia Hollinger (George Nichols), of Hebron, MD, Dennis Hollinger of West View, Kathleen Hower, of Pittsburgh, Barbara Stewart, of Lawrenceville, GA, Regis Hollinger, Jr. (Marcia Russell), of Oil City, Warren Hollinger, of Seneca, and Christine Hollinger (Michael Friedhofer), of Hempfield; proud grandmother of Genevieve Hower (Haakan Younes), Jessica Hower (James Karastamatis), Adam Starkey and Jeffrey Stewart; and great grandmother of Oliver, Elliot, and Charlie, and an expected great granddaughter. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Dorothy was an avid card player for many years at the Benedictine Senior Center and at St. Athanasius, and enjoyed playing Scrabble and doing daily crossword puzzles. She will be dearly missed by all. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, Ross Township. I’d like to give my condolences to the family and friends of Dorothy. I know it is difficult when a loved one falls asleep in death but I wanted to share a scripture that hopefully will give you comfort. Psalms 46:1 “God is for us a refuge and strength, A help that is readily to be found during distresses.”
