David was one of my favorite teachers while at north from 65 -69. He also attended our 50th reunion and it was a pleasure to have some time to speak personally with him near the end of the reunion dinner. He was one of the positive influences on my high school life. May God bless him and his family.
My condolences to Mr Lyons entire family on his death. May he Rest In Peace. He was a great teacher and person. May God comfort you at this time of grieving.
I was so saddened to hear of the the passing of Mr. Lyons! Though it’s been years since I’ve seen him, or taken one of his courses, I think of him near daily! My husband and I enjoy playing Jeopardy together, and on my better days at the game I’m usually recalling something I learned in his class! (Or kicking myself because I learned it in his class but now forget! Haha!) He had a true gift for teaching history, and will forever be recalled fondly in my own personal history. May he rest peacefully, and may God provide solace to his family as they mourn his loss.

Mr. Lyons had a significant influence on me as a teacher and mentor. He helped make me the man I am today. He drove us hard as a coach and we were able to become better players because of his drive for excellence. Gone, but never forgotten.
