Daniel A. Sammartino – Age 50, of Allison Park, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018. Danny was born on January 8, 1968 in Pittsburgh, loving son of Carol and the late Bruno Sammartino. He is survived by his beloved fiancé of 8 years, Cindy, and her children, Eric, Ryan, and Brad Stauber, whom he loved as if they were his own; his children, Anthony and Vincent Sammartino; brothers David and Darryl (Holly) Sammartino, and nephew Bruno. Family and friends will be received Friday from 3-7 at Devlin Funeral Home Inc, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am at St. Sebastian Parish. Entombment will be private. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, and staff at Shadyside, and Passavant Hospitals for the excellent, compassionate care they showed Danny.

I just saw this. I am heartbroken. I met Daryl and Danny when they arrived at Slippery as Freshman. We had a mutual friend Mark Shockowitz and it was a pleasure meeting such great men. Danny will be missed.
I’m so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. I worked with him at Kenneth Richard’s Hair Salon years ago. He was such a kind hearted man! Sending my condolences to the whole family and everyone whose lives he touched daily!

Many years ago when my family moved to the North Hills we were elated because Bruno Sammartino lived in our neighborhood he was our hero our Idol. Years later when I met Danny he was kind to me when many were not, he will always have a special place in my heart. In Danny I saw all the virtues we had watched his father exhibit throughout the years. He was kind and strong, he was funny, sincere and he was always there to lend a hand. He will truly be missed. My sincere condolences.
