Coleman Foley Jr.
Age 91, of Shaler Twp., passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021. Born April 15, 1929, son of the late Coleman and Barbara (Connolly) Foley. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Neva Foley, and his brothers John and James (Sylvia). The loving father of Diane Eli, Michael Foley (Jill), Jeannine Foley, Daniel Foley, Kathleen Corbran (Edwin) and Mary Derby (Daniel); proud grandpa of Michael Eli, Bria Eli (deceased), Kristine Backner, Kelly Matrulli, Erin Pace, Kevin Foley, Kaitlin Hook, Emilie Yasko, Chuck Mosholder, Lisa Krachey, Colleen Collett, Sean Loar, Bridgette Corbran, Meghan Corbran, Melissa Derby, Ashley Derby, Daniel Derby, Jr., Abigail Derby and Ethan Derby. Coleman is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and his beloved sisters Barbara Zack (Richard) and Marie Lang (Joseph).

A first generation American, Coleman grew up and made a life for himself on the Northside of Pittsburgh. Coleman was a strong, hard-working and stoic family man. He held several jobs over the years to support his family of eight, but he was proudest of his work as a journeyman with Asbestos Workers Local Union #2. He had simple tastes, such as his love for meat and potatoes or peanut butter and jelly. His pride for his family often showed through his love for logowear from their colleges and businesses. He enjoyed reading mystery novels, the daily newspaper, and was a prolific fan of Westerns.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 1-5 pm at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. A Blessing Service will be held Monday at 10:30 am at the funeral home, officiated by Father Mike Zavage. Entombment will follow at North Side Catholic Cemetery, Ross Twp.
