Mary “Marti” Kain Evelsizer
Age 56, of Seven Fields, PA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, February 26, 2021. Marti was born on August 14, 1964, in Richmond, VA. She is the daughter of Bonnie (Perry) Brinckerhoff Morse, and the late Frederick Kain. Marti is the beloved wife of Mark E. Evelsizer, whom she married on July 17, 1993; loving mother of Mark Jr., and Maggie Evelsizer; dear sister of Edward (Laura) Kain, and Laura (Bryan) Sabol.
Marti graduated from Elkton High School, Elkton, MD, in 1982. Marti attended Elon University, Elon, NC, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree Summa Cum Laude in Business Administration and met her future husband. After her graduation, Marti worked for Northwestern Mutual Life Company, Sovran (Nations) Bank and Thompson Everett Cable in Richmond, VA. In 1995, Marti was hired as a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and graduated from the FBI Academy. She was assigned to the Pittsburgh Field Office. Marti was a member of the FBI’s Crisis Negotiation Team, where she provided extensive training to law enforcement Officers in western PA, international law enforcement agencies, and at the FBI Academy. Marti retired from the FBI in 2016 to become a full-time Mom. She enjoyed watching her children participate in school activities, sports events and dance competitions. Marti was affectionately referred to as “Mama Bear” and “Fairy Godmother” at her daughter’s dance studio for her love, passion and motherly protection for studio dancers. Marti was a member of Orchard Hill Church, Wexford, PA, and the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI.
Family and friends are welcome Tuesday from 4-7 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor George Palombo, and interment will follow at West Union Cemetery, 605 Warrendale Road, Pine Township, PA, 15044.

I was a college friend of Marti’s who also is from Richmond, VA. I will always remember her smile and her kind nature and how she was always willing to lend a hand.
I met Marti when I was a little girl visiting my Dad (Joe) at work. I was always in Awe of her. She had such a beautiful, happy energy. She was one of the coolest, strongest, and bravest women I ever met. It was a pleasure to have her in my life, and a true blessing. My deepest condolences to all of her family.

Miss Marti was a joy to work with at the FBI with her smiling face, kindness, and knowledge which she happily shared. I am honored to have served with her at the FBI for a number of years. God bless her and take care of her family.
My heart goes out to The Evelsizer Family at the loss of Marti.
I worked in the Pittsburgh office with her and she was a bright star in the office and she was always conscious of the work she was doing and always wanted to make sure that everything was done perfectly.
She was also my supervisor for awhile and she stepped up to ensure that I was okay when handling my work assignments.
I thank her for her diligence and continued support for the work that she did.
When she decided to retire I knew that the office had lost a great agent and would have left a void that needed to be replaced .
