Charles Straessley

Age 62, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at Allegheny General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Charlie was born on Feb. 5, 1955, in Ellwood City, son of the late Samuel “Rodger” and Cora (Graham) Straessley. Charlie is survived by his children, Charles “Chad” and Juliana; granddaughter, Rayne; and the mother of his children, and friend, Joann. He is also survived by his soulmate, Vincene; her children, Frank, Christine, and Kelly, and their families; his brother, Fred; and nephews, Rip and Hunter. He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel. Charlie was a union carpenter, having worked for the Union #420 since high school, and Harley Davidson enthusiast. Family and friends received Tuesday from 1 to 8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., Cranberry Twp., where services will take place Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Pinewood Memorial Cemetery. In honor of Charlie, his family requests that hats are worn to his services, as his hat was not an accessory, it was a part of him.
