To the Otterbein Family,
I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Otterbein. She had a warm smile and laugh, always welcoming me in for glass of iced tea in the summers. I always enjoyed spending some time, catching up with her on the family and hearing what had been going on over the winter months.
Mr. Otterbein, Billy, Mary, Lisa, Tom and Pete – she was a class act, and I will remember her fondly. Thinking of all of you and your families.
Love, Colleen Critchley
Dear Bill, Children and Grandchildren,
What a wonderful wonderful woman Cecilia, known as Honey to some, was her whole life. I met the Otterbein family in Rahway, NJ, over 50 years ago! What a delight it was in my very early years as a Dominican Sister (Sr. Daniel Anne) to have taught Bill, Mary and Lisa. To my great disappointment I never did teach Peter and Thomas! Cecilia was always so kind and thoughtful of all the Dominican Sisters. It was an honor for me to stay connected with all the Otterbeins for so many years.G In faith we believe that this connection with Cecilia only strenthens and deepens. Her
graciousness in word and in deed lives on in all of you! And I feel like I have a piece of that too!
With much love and gratitude to all of you
Sr. Eleanor (Sr. Daniel Anne!)
Dear Bill and family,
It was a pleasure to know Ceil for so many years. I admired her grace and beauty, and her thoughtfulness and kindness were unmatched!
I will miss her so very much.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. May you find comfort knowing that she is now in His loving presence.
God Bless.
My condolences to Ceil’s family and friends. I was blessed to know Ceil when we both worked at Perrysville. She was kind, gentle, loving and helpful to all. She was beautiful and classy. She loved her family and gave compassionate care to the students. She will live on in my heart always.May her loving spirit bring peace to her family and may she rest in peace.
As a school nurse Cele was my role model. She taught me so much. With the kids at school she was patient and loving and no nonsense. She was beautiful and smart and funny and devout. She always gave such good advice. She will be sorely missed.
Please accept my sympathies – I will always remember your mom as our school nurse at St Sebastians. She was so kind and always had a lovely smile. It was always so nice to see her over the years in church.
