Bonnie considered herself blessed by her devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary and the love of her family. Being with her family was her greatest joy. Some of her fondest memories were of the family vacations spent in Bethany Beach. In her home, her garden, her kitchen, or chatting with her neighbors, was where you could always find her. She was known for many things, but she was best known to most as ‘Grandma Bonnie’. She is most famous for her grilled cheese sandwiches (with a secret ingredient of love’), feeding you while you were visiting, and sharing the stories of her life and her love for her husband, Chuck. She also fed the birds, including her favorite, hummingbirds. She generously shared her life, love, hugs, garden harvest, her delicious personally canned vegetables and tomato sauce, and garden flowers with all she knew.
Bonnie will be missed by many. Her family would like to thank the loving care that she received from Concordia of Wexford and
Bridges Hospice. Her life was also truly enriched by her many friends there. We take comfort in knowing that she is now with God, her family, and her husband, the love of her life, Chuck.
Friends will be received Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 12-2 PM and 4-6 PM at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 15, 10:30 AM at Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, Saints John & Paul Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St Jude Hospital and Operation Smile.

So sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful woman. Both daughters look so much like her. My sympathies to your whole family. Joan
Grandma Bonnie will be missed. I remember visiting her as children with Kelly and NJ and her joining our crazy Christmas parties as an adult. What a good long life – she has seen it all. ♡
