Service: Mass of Christian burial Wednesday 10 AM at St. John Neumann Church, Regina Coeli Parish.
of Ross and Shaler Townships died peacefully while sleeping on June 21, 2026, 5 days after his 91st birthday. He was the husband of Norma Jean (Zang) Schneider, Father of Mark Schneider (Ahrin), Craig Schneider (Theresa), Michael Schneider (Tammy), Kathleen Alexander and Julie Barnhouse. Grandfather of Megan Clifford, Mark Jr. Schneider, Bradley Schneider, Ben Schneider, Savannah Hall and Alexandra Schneider, Sebastian Barnhouse and Colby Barnhouse. Great Grandfather of Marley Clifford and Carson Clifford. Bill was the son of Tony and Dora Schneider. He was a life member and past President of Berkeley Hills Fire Department, life member and past President of Evergreen Fire Department, member of Millvale Fire Department and life member of Ross Township Fire Police. He was the owner of Schneider Trucking Service and served in the U.S. Army in the Pennsylvania National Guard. Bill was a lifetime trucker.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 23rd at 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Highway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neumann Church, 2230 Rochester Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 on Wednesday, June 24th at 10:00 a.m.
The funeral procession will conclude at St. Augustine Cemetery, 250 Wible Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15209.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Millvale Fire Department.
Pappy and I were very good friends for many years and stuck together. We were truckers and firemen. Even though I moved to Colorado, we kept in touch every Wednesday.
My wife and I will always remember him and miss him. May God keep him in His loving care. Rest in peace good friend. Walt and Peggy
This is one of life’s hardest moments and I wish I were there to give hugs and support in person. Know that I have nothing but the fondest memories of sharing a few holidays and vacations.
