William J. Scherer, of Ross Township, died Saturday, May 17, 2008. Beloved husband of Diana (Delach) Scherer; loving father of William H., Laurie A. Uhler, John J. and Terri L. Marciniak. Brother of Raymond Scherer, Mary “Sis” Kuhn, Ralph Scherer, Marian Yeckley, Thomas Scherer, Lawrence Scherer and the late Harry Scherer and Grace Duncan. Grandfather of Sara, William, Courtney, Annie, Allison, Samuel, Kendall, Jacob, Emma and Luke. William was a World War II Navy veteran. There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial in at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Sebastian Church. Everyone please meet at the church. Arrangements by the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
