Age 90, of McCandless Township, formerly of Stowe Township, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. Beloved love and husband for 47 years of Janice (Turk) Cerminara; Loving father of Kathy Lynn Cerminara; Brother of the late Amo ( the late Americo) Cerminara, and the late Rachel Pluechel. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Umberto proudly served his country for 10 years in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Captain. He served as an Infantry Officer in Korea during the Korean War. Upon being honorarbly discharged, Bert continued his devotion to the military through the Korean War Veterans Association and the Ohio Valley Marine Corps League, both of which he was a life member. A celebration of Umberto’s life and interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans Charitable Service Fund, 860 Dolwick Dr. Erlanger, KY 41018 or www.cst.dav.org.
