Twila Jean Hall, age 92, of Baden, Pennsylvania, formerly of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph in Baden.

Born November 23, 1933, in Isabella, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, Twila was the daughter of the late Edwin Samuel Marks and Emma Mae Cole Marks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Dalton Hall, her parents and her siblings Grace Cseko, Harry Marks, Doris Daugherty Swaney, Betty Angelo, Ruby Baker, Lena VanVoorhis, Rita Marks, Freda Marks, Stanley Marks, Joyce Smith, Larry Marks and granddaughter Sheryl Santini.

Twila was a graduate of South Union High School in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. She spent many of her childhood years at First Christian Church of Republic, a place she remembered with great affection throughout her life. She later became a lifelong member of Central Christian Church in Uniontown. Over the years, she co-founded the church nursery, taught Sunday school, served as an elder, became a trained Stephen Minister, and lovingly mentored young people as a table parent in the church’s youth ministry.

Having survived polio as a young child, Twila developed a deep compassion for others. Rather than allowing life’s challenges to define her, she devoted herself to encouraging and serving others. Her experiences shaped a lifetime of advocacy, kindness, and unwavering concern for the well-being of many.
In the late 1950s, Twila began her career with the Columbia Gas Company before joining the J. H. Dunn Agency. Later, she found her calling as a travel consultant with the adjoining AAA office in Uniontown, where she spent more than twenty-five years helping others create lasting memories through travel. The friendships she formed with coworkers and clients alike became one of the great joys of her life, with a special few who remained like family to her.

Throughout her life, Twila served her community in numerous ways. She was active with the Christian Women’s Fellowship (Disciples of Christ), Open Doors for the Handicapped, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the American Red Cross Gray Lady Service, where at one time she held the office of chapter President.

For more than ten years, Twila made her home at Maple Garden Apartments in Uniontown, where she formed treasured friendships. During her final three years at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph, she again surrounded herself with cherished friends and came to love the nurses, aids, therapists and many other team members who cared for her with kindness and respect. They became an extension of her family, and her family will always be grateful for the compassion they offered her.

The family extends a deep gratitude to Good Samaritan Hospice for the individualized and compassionate care they provided to Twila throughout the past several months, allowing her to remain comfortable while honoring her wishes with dignity and grace.

Twila is survived by a sister Margaret Sheets, sister-in-law Kathy Marks, daughters Malinda Grabowski & Marsha Ray (Tom), son Stuart Hall, step-sons Dalton D. Hall & Samuel L. Hall (Nancy), grandsons Daniel S. Hall (Donna) & Lucas Ray and granddaughter Hannah Ray Shaffer (Jake).

Twila will be remembered for her resilient spirit and genuine kindness. She possessed a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, valued and loved, whether through a quiet word of encouragement, a listening ear, a heartfelt prayer, or her unmistakable sense of humor.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that the same faith which guided her throughout her life has now welcomed her into eternal peace.
