Thomas A. Braithwaite, age 62, of Cranberry Twp., at home and with his loving family on Friday, January 19, 2018. Beloved husband for 35 years of Joyce (Balzer); proud father of Thomas, Jr. (Anna-Kate), Evan, and Katharine (Derek Thompson); loving grandfather of Isabelle Grace; devoted son of Allen and Alice (Rust); brother of Robert (Mary), Linda Gross (David), Carol Campbell (the late Brian), Jack (Karen), Mark, and the late Michael (the late Maria); also survived by many loving friends and relatives. Friends will be received on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME of CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., (724) 772-8800. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Ferdinand Church on Monday at 10 a.m. Tom played college baseball at Jacksonville University, where he was a pitcher. He was able to continue his passion for sports by coaching his kids in football, baseball, and soccer. Tom loved the beach and the ocean. Whether it was for Pirates’ spring training, or a SCUBA trip, he rarely missed an opportunity to go to Florida.
