Suzanne L. Wilson, age 81, of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, who departed this life April 9, 2026 peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Born on August 16, 1944, in Cumberland, Maryland, Suzanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and educator.
Suzanne lived a life devoted to nurturing and teaching others. She earned her teaching degree from Frostburg State College in Maryland. She made a lasting impact in the field of education, founding and developing two preschool programs that helped shape the lives of countless children. Later in life, she earned her master’s degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Her passion for learning and teaching extended beyond the classroom, as she actively contributed to her church community at Fox Chapel Presbyterian, where she served as an elder and helped direct many projects.
As a cherished wife of Robert C. Wilson, Jr., whom she married on June 22, 1968, Suzanne shared a partnership filled with love and devotion. She was a loving mother to her children, Jennifer (Jack) Murphree, Andrew (Jane) Wilson, and Matthew (Karen) Wilson. Suzanne found immense joy in her role as Gammi to her beloved grandchildren: Will, Charlotte, Evan, Claire, Audrey, and Avery.
Suzanne’s love for travel took her far and wide, allowing her to experience the beauty of the Holy Land, Korea, the Philippines, Scotland, and Ireland. These travels enriched her life and nurtured her curiosity, further deepening her appreciation for diverse cultures and experiences.
She is also survived by her brother, Thomas (Cindy) Lapp, and will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
Visitation for friends and family will be held on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township. A celebration of Suzanne’s remarkable life will take place on Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral home

Suzanne was a loving addition to our family so many years ago. She will be deeply missed.
Suzanne was always so hospitable when Andy and his Calvin friends would visit Pittsburgh, and I have fond memories of talking with her about politics and theology. She will be missed.
