Susan Elizabeth (Mervick) McKinney, of Ross Township, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2016. She was a devoted daughter of the late Regis and Betty Jane Mervick; sister of Mark Mervick; loving aunt to Andrea Jean Archer and Scott Mervick; great-aunt of Evelyn Archer; niece of the late Raymond Crummie (survived by Noreen) and Shirley Muzzio (Robert); and cousin of Patti, Chris, Rob and Nancy. Susan was an inspirational music teacher and choral director for 33 years in the North Hills School District. She shared her love of music with thousands of students. Susan was an accomplished musician and performed in several community ensembles and orchestras. Susan was a proud graduate of Duquesne University, a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, Delta Kappa Gamma, American Association of University Women and the Catholic Daughters of America. Susan was a beautiful person: loving, kind and generous to all. She will be remembered for her Irish wit and charm by her loving family and friends. Friends will be received 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, Ross Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Teresa of Avila Church.
