Age 82, formerly of Indiana,, on Sept 17 surrounded by his loving family. Bob’s life of service began as a marine after graduating from Bellevue HS and Villanova Univ. He then joined the family restaurant business and throughout his life served his
community as a business owner, school board president, board member of several charitable organizations and church volunteer. He later enjoyed working with the residents of Verland. Bob gave generously and saw the good in all people.
51 years ago Bob married his best friend Janet (Smith). She survives. His legacy of perseverance, hard work, faith & family continues in his children Sharon (Chris), Robert (Shannon), John (Catherine), Mark (Bevin), Anne (Todd), 13 grandchildren,
friends and family. Family will receive visitors on Thurs, Sept 22 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy. A mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Teresa Of Avila Church on Friday, Sept 23 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers donations requested in Bob’s name to the Heart of Illinois Down Syndrome Association
