Stephen Dendis, 87, of Franklin Park, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Florence (Kwolek) Dendis; loving father of Bonnie Green, of Georgia, Steven M. (Rhonda) Dendis, of Florida, Col. James C. (Vicki) Dendis, of Alabama, and Nancy (James) Loner, of Georgia; also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Julia Dendis. Stephen was a World War II Army veteran, earning the Purple Heart and four Bronze Stars. He also was a retired employee of US Airways. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. John Neumann Church. Burial in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies/ In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. John Neumann Church Building Fund.
