Sharon A. Waters
Age 62 of Ross Township, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday March 5th, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Sharon was born April 3, 1959 to the late Leo and JoAnne (Frazee) Neugebauer and was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Neugebauer. She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Bradley T. Waters; her caring children, Steven (Emily) Waters, and Joseph (Tina) Waters; grandchildren, Leo and Maria Waters, with a third grandchild on the way; siblings Eric (Lisa) Neugebauer, Linda (Jim) Augustine, and Gary (Kerri) Neugebauer; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sharon proudly served as a registered nurse for over 40 years at Passavant Hospital and was a lifelong member of St. Teresa of Avila Parish. She loved hosting and spending time with family and friends and was an avid hockey fan. Sharon lived life with a purpose and was a woman of dignity known for her generosity, compassion, and honesty.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday from 6-8 pm, and Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church. Everyone is asked to please meet at church. Interment will follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Sharon’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Dear Brad, Steve, Joe and family, Sharon was one of my very dearest and oldest friends. We met when I was 4 and she was one! I have so many happy memories of times we shared together. Her passing leaves a huge hole in my heart. May all your wonderful memories of dear Sharon bring you some peace and comfort in the coming months. She was one of the kindest people I have ever known.

Our families met when Joey and Steve and my boys started playing hockey together at a very young age. Over the years we became good friends and spent lots of time together in and out of hockey rinks. Sharon had it all. She was smart, funny, hard working, a good cook, kind and spunky.
But her greatest gift was the love she had for Brad, her wonderful sons and now their families. I feel honored and lucky to have known her.

I had the honor of knowing Sharon through working with her in the OR at UPMC Passavant Hospital for 13-years. She was a wonderful person and almost always had a smile on her face. I remember Sharon growing up on Longview Drive. She always had a zest for life and she seemed to take the big sister role so naturally. No wonder she was such a great nurse. Deepest sympathies to her family. May God comfort you as you grieve and hold on to the memory of her loving life.

It’s hard to find the words to say, Sharon was such a lovely person. In recent years, I got to know her a little more with our get togethers at Tammy and Gary’s after the girls trip to the strip at Christmas time, and at family reunions. I always enjoyed my conversations with Sharon and, we always talked kids, hockey and grandchildren. You just knew how much she loved her family… it radiated from her.
