Catherine (Kitty) Bohn

February 28, 2022

Catherine (Kitty) Bohn was received peacefully into Jesus’ welcoming arms on February 28, 2022. Kitty dedicated her 90 years of life to bringing joy into the lives of others. Her devotion to her Catholic faith gave her a strong appreciation for the dignity of life and drove her passion as an OB nurse for over 40 years in the Pittsburgh area, where she assisted in bringing countless babies into the world. Kitty was preceded in death by her husband Don, sister Eleanor, brother William, and many of her very dear friends. She is survived by her children, Don (Mary Jo) of Fairfax, VA; Patricia Costa of Streetsboro, OH; and Barry (Sherri) of Sewickley, PA; 10 grandchildren (Julie, Kristen, Meghan, Matthew, CJ, Michael, Brittani, Michelle, Amanda, Bryan), and 7 great grandchildren (Liam, Kelsey, Anabelle, Nora, Daniel, Kennedy, Piper). Kitty was dedicated to serving God and her family throughout her life and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a friend to all who knew her and will be missed by all.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Kitty’s life will be held at St Ferdinand’s Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, PA Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a contribution in Kitty’s memory be made to Sherwood Oaks (Retirement Community), 100 Norman Drive, Cranberry Twp. Pa. 16066.

    I had the pleasure of working with Kitty as an OB nurse. She was pleasant and kind, and very knowledgeable
    , always willing to teach others.

    Pat and family;
    Whenever I saw your mom, my whole being lit up. She would give me a great hug, then whisper something sweet and loving in my ear. I am so grateful that I got to know her; so special, so kind, so generous (and she dressed so beautifully!). Bruce and I are truly sorry for your loss. She will be missed.
