Shannon Quail
April 22, 2025 - January 18, 2009
Shannon M. Quail, 18, of St. Louis, Mo. for two years, of Cranberry Township for 16 years, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, after a tragic accident. She was the beloved daughter of Michael and Laurie Quail; sister of Ryan, Julie and Michelle Quail; dear granddaughter of Fred and Loraine Bell and the late Marjorie Quail; she was also treasured by many living cousins, aunts and uncles residing in St. Louis. She excelled in many sports throughout her life, including playing for four years on the Seneca Valley Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team and traveling with the Intrepid Girls Lacrosse Club for two years. She had plans to play on an athletic scholarship in lacrosse at Indiana University of Pennsylvania this fall. She was blessed with many loyal friendships and brightened the lives of those around her with humor, random acts of kindness and faith in God. Friends and family marveled over her outstanding independence and unique personality, making precious impacts on those around her everyday. She was taken from the earth all too soon. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, 724-772-8800. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Ferdinand Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Shannon Quail Memorial Lacrosse Scholarship Fund, c/o Citizens Bank, 20111 Route 19, Suite 34B, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I was a passer-by the day of the accident and you all have been on my mind since. Please take care of yourselves. I’m so very sorry for your loss.
Dear Mr.and Mrs. Quail, and family,
Words cannot express the sadness I feel as you deal with this tragedy. Shannon was my student at St. Alphonsus School in third grade. I remember her as a sweet child, and I am not at all surprised to learn how sweet she was as a teenager. May God help all of you through this terrible time. Be assured that your strong sense of faith will sustain you.
With my sincere sympathy,
Carol Gdovichin
Dear Mike, Laurie, Ryan, Julie, and Michelle,
We are deeply saddened by your loss. You have our fullest sympathies.
Dear Mike and Family –
With deepest sympathy, my thoughts and prayers are with you!
Sincerely,
Fran Brinkman
Words cannot convey how deeply sorry we were to hear of your loss. We pray that God comforts you and brings you peace.
Laurie and Michael,
I don’t know if you remember us, but my daughter Ashley played soccer with Julie at St. Alphonsus and my son, TJ, was in the same class as Shannon. This is a terrible tragedy and all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. This is the hardest thing a parent has to deal with…our hearts goes out to you. TJ will be at the Funeral Mass with many other St. Alphonsus alumni, but he didn’t want to come to the Funeral Home. He can’t deal with that. He can’t believe something like this has happened to someone he knows, and it has affected him and everyone that knows and loves Shannon. Please believe me when I say “If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know”. Other people, at this time, want to do anything for you, to make things easier, but we know that is impossible. Just know that the St. Alphonsus Family is praying for all of you and Shannon and hoping that someday you will find Peace.
Sincerely and with Love,
Tom, Jan, Missy, Ashley and TJ Kuban
Mike & Laurie, Ryan, Julie & Michelle
There are no words right now….Please know we are praying for all of you.
Love always,
Jeff, Jodi, Lauren & Erica Hassen
