Ruth Hilda Eissler, 100, passed away October 22, 2025. Daughter of the late Edward and Elsie Eissler. Ruth attended Robert Morris University and received her certificate in Business and Secretary in 1943.
Ruth dedicated much of her professional life to Duquesne Light, where she worked for more than 30 years. Over that time, she became not just a valued colleague but a trusted mentor and friend.
An artist at heart, Ruth had an extraordinary gift for capturing beauty in miniature. She created intricate tiny dioramas—worlds in small scale that told stories of wonder, humor, and imagination. With the same care and artistry, Ruth also expressed her creativity through knitting and needlepoint, crafting pieces that were as detailed and thoughtful as the person who made them. Each creation reflected patience, artistry, and a love of handmade beauty.
Though she had no remaining immediate family, Ruth built a life full of deep and genuine friendships that became a true chosen family.
