I knew Ron from the time we both worked at Ampco-Pittsburgh (1979-1993). I worked at Ampco in various financial/accounting roles.
Ron and I would often exchange humorous commentaries, poems, jokes, one-liners, etc. about Ampco’s corporate environment, current events, politics and sports. Myself a Penn State alum, and Ron hailing from Pitt, we also exchanged friendly barb’s about the college football rivalry.
I recently cleaned out old file cabinets and discovered several of those writings which I kept. As I reread each one, I recalled the times and laughs we shared. I failed on my end to maintain contact with Ron after I left Ampco. I thought that, maybe, even though it had been such a long time, we could possibly reconnect. Sadly, in the search for contact info, I came across this notice.
Though several years since his passing, I wish to extend my deepest heartfelt sympathies to the family. I will forever remember Ron as a dear colleague, friend and all-around great guy.
