Ronald James Garmey, age 84 born in Canton Ohio and last living in Bellevue PA, died on July 31, 2026. He and former wife Mary Jo Garmey are the loving parents of Kevin (Tammy), Brian (Kate), Steve (Khan), and Kristen (Alicia) Garmey. Proud grandfather of Connor, Megan, Nick, Pete, Ava, Jack, Khoi, Kitty, and Sarah.
Brother of Terry (Mandy) Garmey and Mary (Paul) Payne; Also survived by many loving friends and relatives. Ron loved watching the Cleveland Browns, a good glass of wine, a rousing game of euchre, and a good joke. He was an avid member of the Boy Scouts for over 60 years and enjoyed camping and laughing.
The memorial mass will be held on Friday, August 7th at Assumption Roman Catholic Church 45 N Sprague Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15202 at 11am followed by a celebration of life at Cefalo’s Banquet and Event Center 428 Washington Avenue Carnegie PA 15106 at 1:30pm.

Heartfelt condolences to the Garmey family! We are sure the Ronald will be missed by his children. Our sympathy to Kevin and Tammy and Kristen, who have included us in some of their Thanksgivings, all of his siblings, especially his brother and sister in law, Terry and Mandy Garmey, our son’s inlaws, all his grandchildren, especially to Pete and Ava that we have spent time with in Chicago, his nieces, Ali and Kate, who is our daughter in law, and any other Garmeys we have yet to meet. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Ron was an awesome person. Always showing and teaching you things about making life better. A true friend that will be surely missed. God bless you Ron!!! Rest in peace my friend.
We knew Ron through Scouting. Spent many hours through training and camping with him. Enjoyed his love of the Cleveland Browns and how he couldn’t wait to rub it in when they beat the Steelers! May he fly high like an Eagle, until we meet again.
