Robert W. McLaughlin Sr., 81, of West View, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Betty (Roberts) McLaughlin; father of Robert W. (Kathleen) McLaughlin Jr., Linda Quiter, Robin (John) Blumer and Sean (Susan) McLaughlin; brother of Joan (Frank) Gracy, the late Leo McLaughlin and Regina Blackhurst; also survived by eight grandchildren. Robert was a retiree of Teamsters Local 249 and Allegheny County. He was a World War II Army veteran and a life member of VFW Post 2754 (past commander). Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Athanasius Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VFW Post 2754, 386 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15229.
