Of McCandless Twp. On Monday, April 4, 2022. Born November 13, 1967 in Pittsburgh, Pa, son of Audrey (Klein) Fahrney and the late Elmer Fahrney. Beloved husband of Lori (Bell) Fahrney; loving stepfather of Rebecca, Kristan, William and Megan Aul; beloved brother of Terry Fahrney (Lee) and Dawn Frye (Larry); proud grandfather of Oakley; beloved uncle to Amanda Moore (Brett), Jessica Lohr (Jason), Bryan Frye (Katie), and Justin Frye.
Rob was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of his time camping and hiking. His love for the outdoors brought out his free spirit that defined him. He loved the outdoors so much, he even made a career out of it building ponds and beautifully created waterfalls. He was an enthusiastic Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates. Rob had a deep love and appreciation for music. Some of his best past times were attending concerts and enjoying the company of his many friends. He was a proud dog dad to his best buddies Leia and Jack. Rob will always be remembered for his kindness, love and compassion he shared with everyone he met.

In lieu of a service, a celebration of life will be scheduled in Rob’s honor in May 2022. More information will be shared with family and friends that would like to attend at a further date.

It is with a heavy heart I write this. I am so glad I got to know Rob. He was so joyful and extended himself to so many. My most sincere prayers going to you all in this difficult time.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Rob’s passing. I remember Rob smiling with his line in the water fishing and laughing as we pushed our bikes to the limit. A truly sweet guy, You will be missed. My heart and prayers go out to the Fahrney family.

I am so deeply saddened and shocked to hear this news. Rob and I were good friends going all the way back to elementary school. We had so much fun together playing baseball and basketball. His friendship will always be cherished. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Fahrney family. Rest in peace my friend, Love ya bud!

Though I never spent my later life with Rob, I did spend my childhood and teen age years with my dear friend. Adventurist and nature spirited to say the least. Rest In Peace for you have touched many lives :-)💛
