Robert Gary Auld
Robert “Bob” Gary Auld, 67, of West View, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024. He left peacefully, his rest is complete. He was born October 6, 1957, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Robert and Connie (Ager) Auld. Bob was a 1975 Hampton High School graduate, and a 1980 graduate of Edinboro University, where he met his beloved Ruth Gabig Auld. They were married 44 years.
Bob was known to befriend everyone he met. He enjoyed going to his hunting camp in Elk County and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Without a doubt, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He retired in 2022 after more than 30 years in technical sales jobs, most recently in Pittsburgh at Tri Arc Manufacturing, but also in Crawford County at CJ Industries and 19 years with Fisher Scientific.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Gabig Auld, of West View; three children, Josh (Jan) Auld of Kennett Square, PA, Carrie (Edis) Denic of Chicago, IL, and Rachel (Robert) Reed of Winchester, VA, 8 grandchildren Lily, Claire, Heidi, Gwyneth, of Kennett Square; Emilia and Aiden of Chicago; and Caroline and Dylan of Winchester. In addition, he is survived by a brother Dan (Cindi) Auld of Kittanning, PA. He is preceded in death by his brother David Auld.
Bob’s family will welcome friends at Devlin Funeral Home, Inc. 806 Perry Hwy., Pgh, PA 15229 on Tuesday, November 26th from 3:30-7:30pm. The funeral service will be at Christ Church at Grove Farm, 249 Duff Road, Sewickley, PA 15143 on Wednesday November 27th at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers Bob requested that donations be made to Urban Impact, P.O.Box 99518, Pittsburgh, PA 15233 where Bob was a volunteer in his retirement.
