Robert E. Fitzgibbon
Age 94 of West View, died Saturday, October 4, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 73 years of Helen (Rochford) Fitzgibbon, his parents, and his sons, Kevin (survived by Patti) and Mike Fitzgibbon (the late Kim). He was the loving father Laurie Fitzgibbon Regrut and Kerry (Allen) Beam; proud grandfather of Sean, Daniel (Sarah), Matthew (Brittany), Meghan (Travis), Cory (Hannah) and Dillon; great-grandfather of Alix, Gavin, Leah, Hailey, Brant, Brayden, and Bentley; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and his furry friends Roo, Pippin and Norman.
Friends will be received on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., Pgh, PA 15229
Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Athanasius Church, 7 Chalfonte Ave., Pgh, PA 15229 on Thursday 11AM.
Fitz attended St. Paul’s Catholic elementary school in Oakland, where he was a proud Irish Tenor at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Upon graduating from Schenley High School, he enjoyed a long career at Gimbels and Kaufmanns, where he was an award-winning salesman. He took his volunteerism at Kane Ross Regional Hospital and St. Athanasius, and coaching in the community very seriously over 73 years. He was an avid sports fan, cheering on his beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Penguins, Pirates and Steelers. Fitz brought love, joy, support, and kindness to everyone he met.

I happened upon this while looking at a neighbors obituary. I’m very sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of your dad and how friendly he was. I remember him laughing when I recalled your dog Mariah meant ‘wind’. he thought that was pretty cool. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
