Robert “Bob/Bobby“ Frank Espy, Junior – beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend – peacefully passed away at his home, surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, October 6, 2023.

Robert was born in Ben Avon, PA, raised by his loving parents the late Jane and Robert Espy, Senior. He was a dedicated member of his community; volunteering for the fire department, participating within the local church, and serving as a trusted officer of the police force.

In Robert’s free time, he loved spending it with family and friends. When he wasn’t at home doing the projects he loved around the house or hosting & preparing family dinners, he could be found somewhere near the water. Bob loved fishing and boating with his family in Florida and friends on the river. Bob loved going to their family cabin in the mountains to fish and hunt (aka socialize by the fire). He was an avid jokester and storyteller who could befriend anyone. When he walked in a room he had a way of putting a smile on everyone’s face, even those who didn’t know him. Bob will be missed most for the way he genuinely cared for others and would do anything for someone in need. His spirit will live on in the many lives he touched throughout his time on this earth.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife Amy, his two loving daughters Randi (Robby) & Kyri – who were his entire world;
his sister, Martha (Dave), three stepsons William (Brandi), Jason (Brit), and
Jonathan (Stephanie); and his four grandchildren, Jacob, Mason, Paisley & Jensen.
Bob will be missed by so many family members, and friends.

A memorial service for Robert will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon (7501 Church Ave, Ben Avon, PA) at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, our family would like to encourage donations be given to The Glioblastoma Foundation in Bob’s Memory. Donations can be made atglioblastomafoundation.org/get-involved/donate
Interment service will be private. Arrangements by Devlin Funeral Home, Inc.

    We were friends for 30 years. He was our local police officer and a dear friend. Everyone loved Bob, especially the kids, he was such a great role model. Our kids considered him a family member. Bob always made you laugh, loved having a good time and loved his family. We had so many good times with Bob, down on the boat, making wine, spending holidays together and just hanging out. We will always hold Bob dear in our hearts and will treasure all the memories with him. All of us have lost a very special person.
