Robert C. Bacher, 88, of Ross Township, died Saturday, April 7, 2012. He was the beloved husband for 64 years to Faith A. (Geipel) Bacher; loving father of Barbara Ann Bacher, Jeanne Audrey Bacher and the late William Robert Bacher (survived by wife, Diane); dear grandfather of Jennifer (Rich) Eberst, Brian (Cyrill) Bacher and Rebecca (Dan) Whiting; and great-grandfather of Caralynn, Juliana, Jonah and Noah. Bob was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a retired vice president of operations for Bell Atlantic after 42 years of service. He was a graduate of Penn State University. A longtime member of Highland Country Club and past president, he was also a former member of the board of directors of Suburban General Hospital and a longtime volunteer at the St. Teresa Parish Festival. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Teresa of Avila Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Church.
