Richard J. Ternyey, 91, of West View, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009. Beloved husband of Eleanora C. (Pehon) Ternyey; loving father of Richard M., of Washington, and Robert C. (Cheryl), of Clarion; grandfather of Lynn Ann Barney, of Utah, Molly Ternyey, of Ross, and Jennifer Gragg, of Washington; also survived by four great-grandchildren. Richard was a World War II Army veteran, where he earned a Silver Star and a Purple Heart. For many years he was the owner of Rich’s Barber Shop in West View until his retirement in 1988. There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Athanasius Church, West View. Arrangements by T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME.
