Mercedes H. Pappert, 90, of McCandless, died peacefully Friday, Jan. 9, 2009. Daughter of the late Andrew J. and Anna C. Pappert; beloved sister of Thelma C. Pappert, Ralph Pappert and the late Andrew and Regis Pappert; also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, 23 great-nieces and nephews, and eight great-great-nieces and nephews. Mercedes retired as corporate secretary of North Side Deposit Bank, where she worked for more than 30 years. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Teresa of Avila Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Church Fund or Celtic Hospice.
