Richard Joseph Yope
Age 74, of Ambridge (Harmony Twp)., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Born February 25, 1949, son of the late Thomas and Eleanor (Duke) Yope. Loving father of Jennifer (Khanh) Do, and Christopher Yope; dear grandfather of Madison Do; brother of Debra (Charles) Stockdale, Raymond T. Yope, Edward (Kathy) Yope, and John Yope. Rich is also survived by his nephews Eric (Amy) and Brian (Emily) Yope. He also dearly loved the Wagner family. Richard also had many loving friends who will all miss him dearly.
Rich was a proud graduate of Saint Veronica High School. He also earned his associate degree from CCBC in Electrical Engineering. He served his country during the Vietnam War. His career involved being the district manager at Mosler and he later worked for Consultek and Tyco. He was an avid fisherman and hunter; because of these hobbies he developed lifelong friendships. He was the most kind, caring, and selfless man. He was one of the most organized ones as well. His sense of humor was there till the very end, and he always made others laugh. He taught his children to do for others and was known in his church community for his volunteer work. He will be sadly missed by all.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 am at St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Good Samaritan Church, Ambridge. Interment will be held following the Mass at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Warrendale
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Rich’s name to Good Samaritan Hospice.

My deepest sympathy to Rich’s family. He was one of my closest friends during High school. I regret that I could not attend the service because my older brother Andy also passed away on July 4th after long illness.
