Rich was dedicated to his family. Char worked days and Rich worked nights when the kids were small. He always had time for his children…not sure how much sleep he got! He was a clown with magic tricks to entertain my son when he was small. He was a great neighbor to my father. When my dad was aging couldn’t plant his garden, Rich did it for him and ket my dad “supervise” from his chair. I’m sure he will be missed but we all have great memories.

Received the news of Rich’s passing with deep sadness. I knew Rich as a co-worker at MSA and later with BASF. I’ll remember him as a good and gentle man with a keen sense of humor. May he rest in peace.

Loved you Richard and love the family he left behind. The wonderful thing is he is happy and whole in heaven He can walk, he can run and he can play a clown. Everyone in heaven will love him.

My brother Doug captured our dear cousin Richard perfectly . . . he was an angel among us and will surely keep a close eye on all of his family forever.

Richard was my cousin but through a little kid’s eyes, also the big brother I didn’t have. Yes, he was strong, once painted his bedroom black, drove a cool purple car and named his German Shepherd “Thor”, but even more, Richard became, as years passed, a true role model. With, what my mother always called, “the twinkle in his eyes”, Richard showed us how to grow up without ever losing the pure joy a child finds simply being alive and part of a family.

With love and very deep gratitude – Doug

    Dear Char,
We are so sad for the long road you and Rich had to travel but God has great plans for him now. Your strength throughout his illness was purely selfless and embodies what a great love you had for Rich. I have fond memories of his stories, seeing both of you at West View’s Kmart and coming to my Mom’s house to entertain all of the cousins. He can now enjoy Eternal Life with so many wonderful people welcoming him there. I love you, dear cousin and will keep both of you in my heart.
