Age 89 of Ross Twp., on Thursday May 31, 2012, beloved husband for 56 years to the late Catherine (Miltner) Smith, loving father of Catherine Benvenuti (Raymond), Raymond E. Smith, III (Deborah), Richard Smith (Leslie), Michael Smith, and Sharon Cook (Richard). Also survived by 7 grandchildren, Gabriel, Candace, Christopher, Jonathan, Brennan, Kevin, and Darren. and 6 great grandchildren, Tia, Nina, Damian, Omari, Aidan, and Sophia. Ray was District Manager for Western Southern Life Insurance Co., a WWII Army Vet, 35th Division, Infantry-Intelligence and a recipient of the Purple Heart and the French Medal of Honor. A life member of West View VFW Post 2754. A graduate of Niagara University. Visitation Sunday 2-4, 7-9 PM at T.B. Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy. North Hills, Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sebastian Church Monday at 10:00 AM. Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd. Suite 300, Jacksonville, Fl. 32256.
