Pete Stackhouse

March 06, 1952 - September 26, 2026

Visitation: Thursday, October 1, 2026 2-4 & 6-8 PM

Pete “Pop” Stackhouse, age 74 of Pittsburgh, PA was greeted into heaven, by his parents, Ruth and Dorsey Stackhouse, along with many beloved family dogs on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Beloved husband for 53 years of Karen (Lorenz) Stackhouse.  Loving father of Jennifer (Kevin) Knochel.  Proud grandfather of Elizabeth and AJ Knochel.  Also survived by his brother, Jeff (Margie) Stackhouse, his Lorenz family in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Sarah Heinz House always held a special place in his heart.  Growing up a son of the executive director meant he had to share his dad with hundreds of other members; however, it was the place he would also meet his future wife.  Resident Camp was probably his favorite part of Sarah Heinz House.  Long after he was a camper, CIT, and counselor, he would get to come back to camp and carry on his dad’s legacy of the magical Indian Campfire, ensuring lasting memories to new generations of campers.  The family is asking in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Sarah Heinz House; specifically for resident camp, as it held the most memories for him, including taking his granddaughter up to camp to be a counselor just over 10 weeks ago.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Devlin Funeral Home, Inc 806 Perry Hwy. Pittsburgh, PA 15229.
