Patricia (Patsy) Gaus
Patricia Gaus, age 86, of Ross Township, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia was the devoted wife of her husband, Edwin, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family and a life filled with countless memories.
She was the proud mother of six children: Kevin (Renee), Lisa (Gary) Punzak, Kerry (Marianne), Jamie (Kim Christen), Shaun (Jennifer), and David (Erin). Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Patricia leaves behind 16 grandchildren (Ryan, Brandon, Adam, Megan, Heather, Jennifer, Gary, Michael, Andrew, Annelise, Allan, Maeve, Riley, Vivienne, Nolan, and Ronan) and 19 great-grandchildren (Reagan, Maelyn, Elijah, Rosalie, Everly, Eloise, Nicholas, Justin, Brandon, Hailey, Maize, Blake, Evelyn, Archer, Levi, Natalie, Charlie, Cora, and Idalia), whose lives were enriched by her love, kindness, and guidance.
Throughout her life, Patricia was active in her community and took pride in helping others. She was involved with the North Hills School Board and served as a Cub Scout Den Leader, giving her time and energy to support children and families in her community.
Patricia also enjoyed a long and varied working life. She was a Carole Little representative and spent many years working at Kaufmann’s as a manager. She also worked at Mellon Bank and McDonald’s, among other positions throughout her life.
Those who knew Patricia will remember her first and foremost as a loving mother and devoted wife. She took great pride in her family and found happiness in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow. Her love, strength, and dedication to her family will remain a lasting part of the lives of all who knew her.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pauline Connolly; her brother, John Wray “J” Connolly, Jr. (Shirley) and her brother, Dr. David Connolly, who is survived by his wife, Joanne (Cooky).
She is survived by her loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, as well as her beloved dog, Annie.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 806 Perry Hwy., Pittsburgh, PA 15229. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Teresa Church (Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish) on Thursday at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude.
Patricia’s family will forever cherish the memories they made with her and the love she gave so freely throughout her life. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
