Formerly of Observatory Hill, Nicholas Torquato, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 30. Son of the late Rosario and Elizabeth Torquato, and the husband of the late Rita (Borman) Torquato and Karen (Hall) Torquato. Father of Nicholas (Sherry), John (Linda), Stephen (Tina), Father James, Sharon (Gary) Rathbun, Pete (Tina), and Todd (Becky). Grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. Brother of Dolores Boyko, and the late Rose Pellegrino, Virginia Ardolino, Mary Zullo, Betty Mauro, and Ross Torquato. Also survived by numerous nephews and nieces. Nick was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a U.S. Postal Service employee for 42 years prior to his retirement, and then he continued working full-time until age 84. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the visitation and the funeral will be limited to the family. Online viewing of the funeral service will be provided on a zoom meeting on Friday, February 5, at 12 noon. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 1000 Avila Court, Pittsburgh, 15237. Arrangements provided by the DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, Perry Highway.

I just found out about your dad’s passing. I am so sorry. He was a man of few words, but we always felt his presence. He will be missed. I was happy I got to visit with him a few years ago. I miss all of you.
