Mary Louise (DeMore) Folino-Bocka

Age 78, of Ross Township daughter of Anthony DeMore and Giovanna (LaGamba) DeMore both of whom preceded her in death. Beloved wife of Joseph Bocka, also preceded her in death. She leaves behind sister Sandra (John) Manz. Children John (Chris) Folino, JoAnn (“Yogi” William) Sgro, Julie (Tim) Farina, Tony Folino, grandchildren Robert Fritz, Hannah Ulm, Nicholas (Natalie) Farina, Zachary Fritz, Jacob Folino, Joey Folino, Isabella Folino, Darian Richards, Kendra Richards, Tucker Bocka, Penny Bocka and great grandchild Kalani Gee.

Passed away peacefully at home, wrapped in the love of her family. Mary had a heart so big that somehow fit in that tiny body of hers. She was a generous woman who loved her family fiercely and it showed in every part of her life. She had the ability to make complete strangers feel like family and everyone was welcome in her home, especially for holidays. Mary loved to cook and bake. If you walked into her home at mealtime, she’d insist that you make a plate. If you were hungry you’d eat, if you weren’t hungry you’d eat.

Mary was hard working and instilled that in her children. “If you weren’t bleeding from the eyes or dead, you went to work.” She was the master of all trades with just the point of her finger. She loved flowers & putzing in her yard so much that it didn’t matter that she’d get poison ivy every year.

Solitaire on her Kindle, True Crime shows, Dr. Pimple Popper and shopping for her family (whether you needed it or not) were her obsessions. She was always thinking of others and her list of people she prayed for every night grew daily. Anyone who knew her knew of her love for animals, especially her many dogs who she referred to as her children. There is a profound palpable loss in our world today.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests making donations to Hillman Cancer Center.
Friends received Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Devlin funeral Home Inc. 806 Perry Hwy, North Hills. Service and Interment private.
